What a glorious lot of classic kids picture books! All are from the Childrens Choice Book Club series, tough hardcovers designed to handle many, many readings by enthusiastic young bookworms. Vibrant art and captivating stories.

In The Year At Maple Hill Farm Alice and Martin Provensen humorously and authentically recount the various events that occur on a farm with the changing months. Their witty text and colorful drawings have made this book a beloved classic for years.

Mary Alice, Operator Number 9 tells the story of Boss Chicken's dilemma when her efficient and reliable telephone time service operator Mary Alice Duck gets sick. From obnoxious laugher Connie Hyena to Charlie Armadillo (so nearsighted he can't see the clock), no one can take Mary Alice's place. James Marshall's illustrations add their usual funny flair to this fun tale.

May I Bring a Friend by Beatrice Shenk de Regniers is a delightful rhyming romp where a little boy goes to visit the king and queen each day for a week, requesting each time that he may bring a friend. These friends turn out to be hippos, elephants and other zoo inhabitants, making for a very funny and very sweet story.

All three books are in good used condition, with minor shelfwear and bumping, clean pages, tight spines.

Reserved for Recy, thanks:)
