First of all, let me explain the two pics. The old masters often painted new paintings over old ones. In this case, I painted a second portrait on the reverse side of the first painting. Yes, you're getting two for one but obviously you can only show one at a time.
This is a watercolor portrait painted on 300 lb watercolor paper. It is then collaged with imported rice papers, some with gold flecks, and then highlighted with oil pastels. The result is an ethereal rendering of a beautiful face behind a sort of textured veil. If you look closely, you'll see that the papers I used on the reverse side were too opaque and hid some of the model's features. The Whisper Portraits that were sold framed were matted in a soft beige mat and framed in a delicate wooden frame with an antique look. This one would also look good in a delicate gold frame to pick up the gold flecks in the rice papers.
For framing purposed, the image size is 8"x10".
Thanks so much for looking and let me know if you have any questions.
