Vintage 35 drawer card catalog, in a beautiful chocolate finish. A fabulous addition to any home library! This cabinet is a modular stacking system consisting of two 15 drawer components and one 5 drawer component, as well as a sliding shelf section, top, and base.

In good vintage condition. All drawers slide out smoothly. The dividers inside the drawers are all functioning and slide easily when lifting the release lever. The dividers and rods are also completely removable to accommodate larger items. Drawers are two types: the lower component trays are high impact plastic/metal, the middle component trays are high impact plastic, and the upper (5 drawer) component is a combination of the two. There is a variation in color between the sections... the middle component and sliding shelf section are a lighter shade. It appears as if there is an old repair to the face of one of the drawer fronts (2nd from the right on the top 5 drawer section). There are marks and mars to the wood consistent with the age and use of the piece, the most noticeable being two chips to the exterior veneer on the left side and scratches along one of the legs.

One very nice feature of this unit is the interlocking metal tabs on each section (see photo #3). They rotate into a groove on the next stack, securing the components together. Very handy!

51 3/4" tall.
33" wide.
17" deep.

Marked Brodart on the top section. Brodart has been making library furniture since 1939. This card catalog has only just been decommissioned from the public library. When I picked it up, the librarian said it had been there for decades. She indicated 1960s, but I am more inclined to believe this piece is 1970s. The stickers on the back side are library property tags. I left them for provenance (although they could be removed).

This item ships in three packages via UPS Ground with insurance. The shipping cost listed is Austin to New York. Austin to California is $370. Other locations will vary; convo with your zip code for an exact quote. Delivery within Texas is possible, and as always, local pick-up is welcome.
