3D Printed gasket/facial interface/"fov mod" (I hate that term) for HP Reverb G2. The model is designed by me; it is completely open-source on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4735821.

Also check out my other Reverb G2 acessories in this store.

Features:
• Wider than the original gasket, which was pressing on the sides of my head (I'm printing the "wide" version; comparison against the official G2 gasket in the image). If the original gasket is comfortable for you, this one will probably be too wide (I have experimental "standard size" version you can contact me about for custom print though).
• Your eyes are closer to the lenses → increases field of view (approximately 5 mm closer than the OG gasket with the HTC Vive 8mm cushion).
• Velcros for easy cushion replacement.
• Magnets for attaching to the headset.
• Nose flaps printed from soft TPU to prevent light leakage.
• Also available with 8mm HTC Vive cushions. If you don't buy the cushion, everything else – magnets, velcro, nose flap – is still included.
• There is not enough space for glasses or prescription inserts. You can contact me however and I can make a version that puts your head further from the lenses, thus providing the required space.
• The gasket is not suitable if you're using the lowest IPD distance – the nose guard plastic pushes the lenses a little bit apart.

Tapping has made a review video for the gasket, however his head turned out to be quite small so he's better off with the original gasket: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNpEKGrkcmc

The "Surprise me" color:
• You can get a colour that is not on the list.
• Can speed up your expedition because I can send you whatever I have in stock (I usually have a lot of black though).
• I will also be using this for testing new cool filaments.
• I recommend you go for it, you can get something unique (or just a standard black gasket).

Updates:
• Since the beginning of the June, my national postal service Česká Pošta stopped accepting shipments to Australia. Other shipping companies have it like ten times more expensive, so I'm no longer able to ship to Australia. If you're still interested, please contact me for individual offer. Or you could arrange some bulk order :)
• Shipping inside Europe usually takes 2-3 weeks. Thanks to the bug in Etsy (which I reported but I don't really trust they'll do something about it), the page doesn't show it.
• I've researched some express shipping options and I've found one potentially applicable to Europe shipping. However Etsy doesn't allow me to set up express shipping only for EU, so I can't offer it to you.
• I am shipping on mondays and thursdays.

Cushions I've tried that work well:
• HTC Vive 8 mm (that's the one I'm selling here, works best for me)
• Kiwi HTC Vive cushion 3-pack with three thicknesses (6, 12, 18 mm), available here: https://bit.ly/3v8OS7H (good for finding out what suits you best)
• HTC Vive 11 mm
• HTC Vive Pro cushions from Kiwi are not recommended, they're too wide and the sides get outside the gasket.
• Oculus CV1 cushions kinda work, but some of them have shorter legs on the bottom part causing light leakage. The comfort is not that great either.
• If you feel brave enough, you can pry off the fabric cushion from the original gasket: https://youtu.be/NBaPoi9Qxrs

I recommend 6-12 mm thickness for the cushions. Higher thickness decreases FOV and might get uncomfortable as it could start pushing on the temples again.

Visibly improves FOV and sweat spot AND is more comfortable for me than the one from VRenergetic (also on Etsy), since this one is good for wider faces/heads. I'd say it is a bit wider than the original, while VRenergetic is for smaller faces, than the original, and was not too comfortable for me personally. Also, this one has nose flaps and does not leak the light (unlike VRenergetic). I do prefer original padding more, but due to improved FOV - this is my favourite gasket so far - no light leak, comfy and better FOV. Great work!

This gasket is an absolute must for G2 owners like me complaining about the original HP gasket pressing on the temples, small sweet spot and small FOV! It is a night and day difference for the better. Comfort, sweet spot, FOV are much improved. The 3D print quality is top notch! Finally I can use and enjoy my HP Reverb G2 as I intended! T H A N K Y O U!

Fits perfectly and great customer service. DanolsDesigns communicated with me about the build color and shipping. This was an international shipment, so it took about a month to receive it, but I was expecting this. Gasket comes with velcro already integrated into the design, so the only thing you need to add is a face pad. I ordered that from Amazon. I had to order one made for the Valve Index since I couldn't find any replacements specifically for the HP Reverb G2. It was slightly too big, but close enough and works just fine.

Light and strong, very well produced. The original faceplate was already good enough for me in terms of comfort, but this one gets my eyes closer to the lens and feels a perfect fit. I’m using the AMVR 10mm PU leather pad designed for Quest 1, also tried the 6mm CV1 pad but my eyelashes touched the lens. I will not attach the nose guard since there is only a small gap that doesn’t bother me. As a whole, a great product, very well designed, HP should hire that Danol guy… 😉
