This listing is for a beautifully grained caramelly colored wood spoon. It is hand carved from native American Hackberry wood and shows the tool marks and irregularities of a handcrafted product.

You are buying this exact item. It is 10-1/4" overall length and the bowl is 3" x 2". It has been hand sanded for a nice smooth finish.

The American Hackberry is a native North American Tree and is known for it's rich butter yellow and caramel coloring and beautul grain patterns. This wood came from a neighbor who was clearing some timber to add more farmable acres to his land. I hate it when they do that, but he let us come in and salvage the good logs before pushing the rest into a pile to burn.

It's been hand rubbed with several coats of a foodsafe mixture of beeswax and mineral oil. Hand wash and dry, every couple of months wipe it down with some mineral oil and it will last a lifetime.
