This charming vintage book, Billy Bunny and Uncle Bull Frog by David Cory (Cupples & Leon, 1920) is a first edition of a beloved classic. It's filled with stories of Billy Bunny and his animal friends, the jay bird, Mrs. Cow, and of course the old gentleman frog. The book has four full-page illustrations, including a frontispiece, by Hugh Spencer. At the end are two pages with a list of other books in the Billy Bunny and Brother and Sister series.

The book is in fair condition. The cover has some edge and corner wear and some dirt and a little fading, but is in pretty good shape for its age. The spine is split at the front and a few pages are partially loose, but none missing. The pages are yellowed with some light foxing--it's worst on the title page (see photo) and on other spreads with illustrations, but other pages have much less or none.

Size: 116 pp; 5 x 7 inches (12.7 x 17.8 cm)

"Well, just as that Policeman Cat lifted his club to tickle Uncle Lefty's left hind foot, a big elm tree began to bark and of course the Policeman Cat was nearly scared to death. He thought it was a dog, you see, and instead of tickling dear, kind Uncle Lucky with his club, he turned tail and ran off down the road."
