These four vintage transferware plates in blue & white by Currier & Ives are titled "The Old Homestead in Winter," "The Homestead in Winter," "The Farmer's Home Winter," and "A Home in the Wilderness." They charmingly depict wintery life as it was in rural America quite a few years ago and possibly as it is still, in some parts of this grand country. I immediately thought of the song, Silent Night' as I was viewing them the first time as the blue background reminds me of when it's that peaceful time of late evening after a heavy winter snowfall.

The plates measure 8 1/4" in diameter by 1" high. The back of each plate tells us they were made in Japan. For decorative purposes only, not for food use. These previously owned items are in very good to excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The gold trim line around the plate is in very good condition as well.

Whether displayed on a hanging plate rack, in a china cupboard or as we've shown here, these blue and white collectible reminders of yesteryear are sure to be a welcome addition to your heart and home. They just feel good!

We will carefully wrap and ship this your way and you'll be glad you made them your newest vintage goody! Thank you for dropping by, we sincerely hope you find something in our shop that brings a happy memory and a smile.
