This is a Western Electric 354 (I believe) wall phone. This was one of the earlier styles before the more common ones we grew up with.

It has some special character on its body that's missing in the newer (1960s +) wall phones. Look closely on the 1st and 3rd picture and you will see the side vents. Also you have the older finger-wheel that has a dial card frame on it. I did update the card because the other one was falling apart. The handle is a nice sturdy Bakelite and still looks fantastic. As does the curly cord. It also has a slightly more compact body than the newer versions.

Ive been trying to get this phone to work, but I cant. It was a little at first, but I think the problem is that it needs new wiring in the handset- something I dont know how to do yet. Sooo... I believe there is potential to get it working again, by someone who restores phones. I can get you names if you like.

As for now, its being sold a as non-working, decorator piece! Its still very shiny and the plastic is in pretty good shape. There is the expected scratching around the bottom half of the phone where the receiver would swing a little when you hang up the phone. Other than that, hardly any scratches and no cracks. Dial turns great.

Please email me with any questions! Also, be sure to check back on my shop this weekend. Ill be adding more phones over the next couple days.
