For sale is a bisque planter measuring approximately 9 inches wide by 6 and 1/2 inches tall. The planter is a shell on which a lovely barefoot woman in a flowing blue dress is seated. On the opposite end is a frog gazing at the woman. The dress and the shell have beaded accents, some of which are highlighted in gold. This has a definite Art Nouveau feel to it.

There is a brown spot in the hair at the back of the head and there is also a small brown spot on the shell just above her knee. I think both of these are visible in the photos. The tip of the shell near the frog has broken off as has three of the woman's fingers on her left hand. There are no cracks and it does not appear that this has ever been used as a planter.

This planter belonged to my mother. I remember it being displayed on the mantel back in the early 1950's. I believe she had purchased it as an antique. It is unmarked. I believe it might be German.

Please look at the photos for additional condition details and don't hesitate to ask questions. Thanks so much for looking.
