Why are our cork leather sunglass straps such a great vegan and sustainable option?

Cork is the outer bark of the oak cork tree. Once a tree is 25 years old, its bark can be harvested every 9 to 12 years during its 150 to 200 year lifetime. This bark is carefully stripped from the tree by hand to maintain the health of the tree. In Portugal, the cork tree is a valued resource and is protected by law to ensure the preservation of the trees and the quality of the harvest. These trees are great at absorbing CO2 and producing oxygen for our planet.

INSTRUCTIONS:


Attaching Temple Pieces:

Moisten sunglass eyewear strap temple tips (preferably with alcohol hand sanitizer) to easily attach the patented (D846,630) SlingOptics™ Retention System capsules to eyewear.

Removing / Changing the Strap:

Grip and pull the silicone flaps to the side and over the brass rivet. Reverse this process to install the temple piece.
