This tile has a bit of a sad story behind it, but one I will never forget. At work (my other job) our office backs up to a very small section of woods. One fall, there were foxes out all over town. Most of them because they had mange, so you would see them out during the day. One of them, who a co-worker lovingly named Todd, had been struck by a car and his front leg was badly injured. He took solitude in the woods behind our building with a couple of other foxes. As though the mange weren't bad enough, he obviously wasn't getting the food he needed as he was terribly thin (even compared to the others). I tried to do what I could at the time, but after a few weeks he stopped showing up. We still saw the other two from time to time, but Todd never showed his precious face. I created this tile in memory of him and the hope that his suffering was quickly laid to rest.

Anyways, like most of my others, this is a hand pressed, low fire tile from my original design plaster mold. Although they do come from a mold, there will still be slight variations from the other listed tiles due to smoothing and handling, however this listing is for this exact tile. Roughly 3 3/4 inches square and almost a full inch thick at it's thickest part (the tail). There's a notch in the back of the tile if you'd like to hang it by a nail. Other uses would be for any indoor tile work (that wouldn't be walked on or in places that receive a lot of water, like a shower stall), display on a small stand or a paperweight! If used in a cement grouting project, soak the tile in a pan of water first. That will help it adhere to the cement better. Convo me for bulk orders...I'd love to do them!
