This handbound book was stitched together with the Coptic stitch. This is a book binding stitch that has been around for thousands of years. The covers are made from acid-free chipboard. The cover is covered with an upcycled zoo map and is lined with acid-free cardstock. The best thing about these journals is that they lay flat when open. This lets you work across the width of two pages with ease. The pages are made from 140lb cold press Canson watercolor paper. This paper can handle a variety of wet, dry, or mixed media. The binding thread is cotton embroidery floss that has been waxed. This 5x5 inch mixed media journal makes a great travel diary or even a gratitude journal. There are 20 pages, counting page fronts only.

The zoo map may vary slightly from the photos. This depends upon the pattern repeat, the placement of the cuts, and the fact that zoo maps change yearly. I do this to cut down on paper waste. The stitching may vary slightly from the photos shown.
