This is a very charming and detailed lithograph (or serigraph) of San Francisco's Chinatown. The artist's name, R. Carlson, is printed under the cable car, and "c. Hambly Studios" appears in tiny print in the lower right. You can make out "California" on the street sign and the names of many of the shops/restaurants at this intersection: Lee's, Wong Fung, SingChang, and several in Chinese characters.

The lithograph was printed on stone colored card stock, 14.75" by 9.75." There is some discoloration on the left hand side and part of the bottom of the cardboard, in the border area, not on the printed area. This can easily be hidden with a mat; my 3rd photo above shows the print with a fresh white mat.

Hambly Studios is still in operation in Santa Barbara, CA. Originally known for their silk-screening, serigraphs, and posters, they now offer overlays, rub-ons, and washi tape for crafts and scrapbooking.
