New Item in Stock and Ready To Ship for Christmas!
Crooked Man's Walking Stick© is made from trees that grew in our local forests. The Maple hiking stick is hand crafted to emphasize the natural beauty of each piece, sanded, stained or natural and 4-5 coats of satin polyeurathane lacquer are applied to protect the finish. The Maple wood is very strong and heavy like Oak, Maple or Hickory. If a lighter stick is preferred, check out the Tulip Poplar selection which is lighter and has excellent strength for walking and hiking.
They also make beautiful accent pieces for the fireplace, den, porch and family room!
A hand braded wrist band and reinforced heavy duty rubber tip is also included. The braded bands come in black, dark brown, light brown, gold, or a combination of those colors. Please specify the braded band color of you choice when ordering. Other colors can also be provided upon request. Colors may vary due to photographic lighting.
The specific dimensions and weights of the Maple Hiking Stick in Early American stain is 66 1/2” long, handle circumference is 3 7/8" and weighs 27 ounces. The length can also be reduced when ordering or can be easily reduced after delivery.

Metal Tips with storage covers are also available and sold seperately on this website. Please insert a note on the stick order as to the stick or sticks they will be installed on.

Although some Crooked Man’s Walking Sticks have accentuated bends, the sticks are cut to direct the force straight to the ground for comfort, control and stability. Satisfaction is guaranteed. If you do not like the stick, you can return it within 10 days and your payment will be refunded. Return postage not included in refund.

Here are some uses and suggestions for choosing Hiking and Walking Sticks:
• Wooden sticks allow you to nail trail tags to the staff.
• Someplace to keep hands elevated so they don't swell
• Extra lift when climbing steep trails
• Extra support when descending steep trails
• Balance - through boulder fields, crossing streams, narrow ledges, slippery mud (but watch out that you don't break it between big rocks)
• Replacement tent pole
• Knocking spider webs down ahead of you on the trail
• Protection against snakes, dogs, and other bothers
• Longer reach - things dropped in water, lifting bearbags, frisbees in trees, helping companions across streams and logs
• Resting Aid to lean on
• Signal for help by tying on a bandanna and waving
• Noise-maker - tap it on rocks as you hike to let wildlife know you are coming
• Steady your camera or GPS or compass
• Trail tool to knock branches, rocks, and pine cones off to the side of the trail

Consider these suggestions for choosing the Hiking Stick:
• About shoulder high so you can lean on it or rest your chin on it

• Thin, but sturdy, so it weighs as little as possible
• Remember these are only suggestions; it is what you are going to be comfortable with!

• Thin, but sturdy, so it weighs as little as possible
• Remember these are only suggestions; it is what you are going to be comfortable with!
