A great gift! A lovely variation on the classic Aran style in traditional ivory 100% lamb's wool, which is naturally water-resistant and retains warmth even in wet weather. In contrast to my other Aran caps which highlight 1 cable, an Aran Sampler Cap has groups of cables. This gives uniqueness while paying tribute to a time-honored tradition. Although the patterns are well-known, the pairings come from my own imagination. On this cap, enjoy 5 different stitches. The Horseshoe Cable (sometimes called Lobster Claw), the Classic Cable, and Seed, in a triple-repeat around the cap, which remains in pattern to the crown. These stitches are each separated by the 4th stitch, the microcable. The 5th stitch, a classic 2x2 rib, appears in the 5" deep fold-up cuff. Knitted on circular needle to avoid bulky seams. Dimensions: Circumference: Stretches to 25". Total length from crown to finished edge is 11 1/2". Washing instructions: No bleach. HAND WASH, inside out, cool to moderate temp, gentle. Hardly any agitation. Try a baby shampoo. Squeeze gently. Do not wring. Roll in towel to remove excess water. Air dry. Hand-knitted in smoke-free, loving home with Coconut, a yellow Lab. Comes in its own resealable plastic bag for easy storage. Ready to ship, with delivery confirmation and tracking number.
