This cravat (aka formal ascot tie) is made out of the good stuff: a stiff, lustrous silk taffeta. Thin but not too thin, this fabric is crisp and has no slubs. Brown is the new black, especially if you want to match the leather bits in your steampunk outfits.

It measures 55.5" long and 3.6" wide. For most men this means they will be able to wrap the cravat twice around their neck before tying a knot or bow. For your reference the mannequin in the pictures has a 15.5" neck. On a man with a larger neck, the resulting bow will be smaller. Those with a neck larger than 17" may want a longer cravat.

Hand wash, hang dry. Some taffetas get softer after washing, because they lose the sizing they were coated with; if that happens you can use starch to re-stiffen them.

Please choose carefully as there are no returns on neckwear.

The waistcoat pictured is not for sale; I made it as a bespoke item and now belongs to the man who commissioned it.

Many other cravats, in different lengths and colors, can be found here in my shop
Thanks for looking :)
