A Garden of Color in your Home was published to promote Lacq - Household Lacqueroid - by the Glidden Company in the 1920s. In promoting the use of the product on furniture and decorative objects, each page of the booklet is full of lively color plates beautifully illustrated by Corinne Ringel Bailey. Like all good period advertisers - the ladies are doing the painting work in stylish dresses & jewelry of the day! c. 1920s

The booklet is 10 x 6 1/2 inch size. 12 pgs plus colorful cover/back pages. There is also included a letter from the Glidden Company signed by G. S. Sturges, thanking the customer for expressing interest in the product! There is no actual date in the booklet. It dates c. 1920 - 1929. Original period item, not a reproduction.

Note that the cover of the booklet has old water stain marks. The inside pages are all good.
