This is a fabulous flapper frame for the boudoir. Dates to the 1920s and is in excellent condition.
Lovely subtle ribbonwork in shade of pink, creams, light butter and white asparugus. Original silk moire backs the oval shaped frame. Outside is Antique French torchon lace dating to the 19th C with a stiff bow made of antique vestment trim also probably French and 19th C. I have only seen a few of these around and they are pretty hard to find. I am selling mine for what I paid as I am losing it in my room full of inventory. Someone needs to have this lovely feminine creation for their vanity. Measures 14" tall from bottom of frame to top of bow. Width is 10 1/2" and the opening for a fabulous applique or photo measures 4 3/4" wide by 6" tall. A great sample of 1920s ribbonwork would be perfect in this frame. Glass included. Stand on back works and stands up nicely.
