This king sized headboard is made from an old cypress door. The door was once part of an 1880s Victorian home in Natchez, Mississippi. I've preserved the age and nostalgia of this incredibly old piece. I've stripped the paint and dirt, sanded, stained, then varnished the door. I kept the original brass painted door plate in tact. Pressed in to the brass is a floral Victorian design with an acanthus leaf at each end.

The panels of the door are inlaid with creamy white ceiling tins from an old warehouse here in Louisiana. The tins are pressed with a slight floral pattern, and small Fleur De'Lis spreading outward. The post of the headboard are made from reclaimed hand cut pine beams that came from the attic of an old New Orleans mansion.

Each headboard is custom made to order. This particular headboard has already sold. But, if you want one just like it, I will work with you to determine the appropriate size, color, and pattern of each headboard. I carry a variety of different styled tins in different patterns.
