Very ornate cast urn. I thought it was concrete at first because of the weight of the piece, but now think it is some sort of very heavy plaster. It was an ugly grey when we got it and had been used to hold plants. We brought it home and cleaned and sanded it, then gave it a coat of white paint using a dry brush technique, finished detailing with sandpaper and an emory board and coated it with a clear semi-gloss to protect the finish. This will be beautiful on your kitchen island holding dried hydrangeas or filled with shredded paper and colored eggs at your buffet table. I tried very hard to capture the detail of the piece but still have to say it is prettier in person. Measures 10" high X 13" wide.
