This Japanese CDV photo of a young man wearing a kimono with an apron over it and holding an umbrella and shoulder bag probably dates to the 1890s, and was shot by T. Monden photo studio of Fukuyama. The inscription on the back gives only the man's name.
The picture is mounted in a cardboard that measures 9/16" x 9/16" and that shown in the bottom photo studio name

This image is in fair condition. There are no tears or significant scratches but there is some fading, a few light smudges, and a couple of spots of very slight silvering. The detail is fair under magnification, but some is lost due to the fading.

Look the details in the picture. It´s an awesome, very old, peaceful and charming image from ancient Japan.
