The inspiration for these rings are the little birds returning to their nesting grounds this spring, which, even though it happens every year, still fills me with such complete and unbridled joy. OK, so perhaps I’m anthropomorphising a touch (I tend to do that), but their sense of place, and home really speaks to me on some deep level. Hearing their songs in the spring announcing their return makes my heart feel like it’s swelling in my chest like The Grinch. Does anyone else feel that way? Anyways, I thought these rings would be a nice way to celebrate the return to greener and sunnier days. Here's the skinny for the ring shown in the main picture of this listing:

Metal: Sterling silver and a pebble of 14kt gold (all reclaimed metal)

Finish: Dark with high points brushed off to a matte finish

Stone: 7.21 carat natural turquoise measuring 16/10.5mm. This turquoise came from the Dyer Blue Mine in Nevada.

Size: This ring measures a 7.5 on a mandrel, but due to it's wider band would best fit approximately a whole size SMALLER.

Markings: This ring has the word, "FLY" stamped on the back (see ring no. 1) along with a little soaring bird and tiny leaves. My wild rose maker's mark is stamped beneath the setting.
