Made in the 1940s, this 25" x 33" doll quilt or wall hanging's pattern is called, "Cathedral Windows". Pretty diamond shapes in pastel colors and prints are framed by white cotton broadcloth on the front, while the plain white back is a nice alternative. I used it as a quilt for one of my dolls, but it could be used as a wall hanging as well, although there are no loops or casing to hang it. I don't know how the stitching is supposed to be on this pattern - whether the frames around the windows are supposed to be blind stitched or just sewn with a running stitch. The vintage fabrics are in good condition, but the running stitch is rather like a basting stitch, holding the white frames in place. The broadcloth and colored windows are sturdy and in good condition, however, and a good example of how the pattern should look. Thank you for looking. Please email me if I can help you in any way.
