This is one of a group of new old stock items I recently acquired, some with tags, some without. A cropped, button-up blouse from the 50’s or 60’s, with short sleeves and a petite pointed collar. It has a striped pattern in red, blues, and greens, with another fancy black pattern on top of it- it has kind of a beatnik or surfer look. This length appears a little cropped but it's also shaped a little at the waist, and possibly meant to be tucked in. The tag reads "Pre-shrunk, Starlight, made in Japan." marked a size 38. Never worn. It has been in storage for a number of years, and would like to be washed and aired before wear.
Flat lay measurements in inches are:

shoulder: 16
bust: 21,5
waist: 20
hem width: 21
length: 20

Frequently asked questions about ReluctantDamsel

Always use the measurements to determine the fit of vintage clothing! You may compare the measurements of the garment to your own measurements- if the fabric is not stretchy remember to add an inch or two for comfort. Even better is to compare the measurements of the garment to well-fitting garment of your own that is similar in cut and fabric. Remember to use a flexible tape measure when taking your measurements!
Some items in my shop give the full measurements but older listings use the "flat lay" system where you double everything but the length. All measurements are in inches and garments are measured as follows unless otherwise noted:

shoulder: seam to seam
bust: across the armpits
waist: at the narrowest part or natural waist
hip: usually at the fullest part: 9 to 10 inches below natural waist
length: shoulder to hem (dresses, tops, coats)
rise: waist to crotch with front and back waistband lined up
inseam: from crotch to cuff (pants, shorts, rompers)
I will mark an item as reserved for you for up to one week, if you are sure about the purchase. I reserve the right to refuse to hold certain items. Please convo me to request a reserve.
At this time I do not accept trades.
I can often process rush orders- please contact me before or at the time of purchase if you need an item by a certain date (even if it's a week or two in the future, just in case!) If for any reason I can't ship your item quickly enough I will let you know and issue a full refund if you wish. TIP: send a separate conversation about your rush order in addition to using the "note to buyer" section of the invoice, so I'll be sure to see it quickly!
All my items are vintage (pre-owned and at least 20 years old) and normally I have only the unique item in the listing, so I'm not able to provide variations or multiples of any item.
All items in my shop are vintage and pre-owned, and small signs of wear are considered normal. Any noticeable flaws will be mentioned in the item description but small and unnoticeable irregularities / signs of wear are part of unique nature of vintage clothing! Always convo me with questions about condition or anything else!
I edit my images for the most accurate color, but different monitors display colors differently. Additionally some colors are really tricky to get right, but I'll let you know if the color is definitely off!
Please treat vintage clothing with gentle care! The best cleaning method varies depending on the fabric and age of the item- some vintage fabrics should be dry cleaned, some should never get wet even to spot treat, some may be gently hand washed, and others are fine to machine wash on a gently cycle. For information on any specific item just send me a convo and I'll be happy to offer advice, but I can't guarantee the safety or effectiveness of any cleaning method.
