Antique Brass Fuel Pressure Hand Pump with Plunger.

This unique hand pump has quite the story to tell I am sure; I’m just not positive what that is! I found the same item, less a few parts on Google, and the seller says it’s a fuel pressure hand pump used in early “Brass-Era” cars. I have also come across similar pumps in generators, fuel stoves, and torches. It even quite closely resembles an antique Victorian medical veterinary syringe. Go figure. If a design works, why re-invent the wheel?

Beautifully engineered and operable, the cylindrical device pumps fuel (or oil - it could be used in that manner.) by pulling the handle and plunger assembly rod back, then pushing it in to pressurize and atomize the contents through a removable end-nipple. It can be entirely disassembled, and with this beautifully aged patina on the brass and steel, it is in excellent condition.

For a very unique industrial collector’s item, a missing component to your 1910 Edwardian Motor Car, or an entirely one-of-a-kind office paperweight, this is a rare and classic find!

Measures 8” Long (12 5/8” with handle extended) x 1” Wide.
