Antique Victorian tiny mourning locket pendant with 9K rose gold front and back panels. (Note: Rims and bail are not gold.) Front is engraved with Freemason Masonic symbol and back with scrolling leaves & shield. Please note that the front panel is damaged. Its center part is dented and small part of the gold panel is missing. The locket has two compartments; one with a lock of hair and the other with a monochrome photo of a young gentleman. The hair part has a clear celluloid cover and the photo part has a glass (or thicker plastic?) cover. The locket clicks to close securely. The size of the locket is very small. It is slightly smaller than American one cent coin. The edge of the locket is scalloped. Brass bail is attached. Circa 1800s.

11/16 inch (1.7cm) long without including the small loop and bail x a little over ½ inch (1.4cm) wide

Weight 3.1 grams (0.11 oz)
