These Japanese Boxes were made to hold cigarettes, but could also be used for trinkets or jewelry. All have high relief artwork and were produced in the 1920-1950's. Patina varies as does the condition. This one is in good condition, with a broken hinge and a cedar wood liner. Very hard to find and sought after by tobacciana collectors. Size is 3-1/2 x 2-7/8 x 2". Unusual log cabin design.
