Wonderful photo postcard from the turn of the last century, featuring "Aunt Minnie" in all her finery. I love the fabulous gathers and ruffles on her shirtwaist blouse, her jewelry, and the way she holds a letter in this studio portrait. Her dress and hairstyle date this photo to the early Edwardian period, between 1900 and about 1905. She has pretty eyes and a tentative expression - perhaps she doesn't like getting her picture taken.

The postcard was printed by Turnbull & Sons in Belfast (not sure if that's the one in Ireland or Maine). The card was not postally used and there is no writing on the back - just Aunt Minnie's name written on the front. She would look wonderful framed, or you could use her for a special art/craft project - maybe to make a card for your own aunt! Lots of possibilities.

Dimensions: Standard postcard size.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. Has a bend on the lower right; there is edge and corner wear; a few spots here and there. Back has aging/some dirtiness. But overall a great image and fun postcard. (See photos for details of condition.)

Will ship in a cardboard photo mailer, in an archival sleeve. I ship via US Mail, automatically refund shipping overages in excess of $1.00 and combine shipping whenever possible. Thanks for visiting and stay tuned for more photos to be listed this week.
