Once upon a time during the days of World War Two many women, including my Great Aunt Lorabelle were married at the court house in a simple but stylish gabardine suit accented with any variety of mink fur pelts. Into the 1950s more affluent Post War brides often changed into a traveling suit dripping with fur to make their way to the honeymoon.

Delightfully styled and well made genuine mink fur wrap dates to the 1940s or 50s. Lightly colored minks have reddish stripes throughout. Faille fabric straps are monogrammed with CKS embroidered patches on one side. Can close with furrier snap in front (photo #2) or in any number of positions with with the assistance of the straps. You arms can go through them for security (photo #4) or you can slide one end of the pelts through the strap and sling them over your shoulder as seen in the first photo.

Labeled: Ed Hamilton Portland Fur Specialists For Young Women Of All Ages

My Grandfather who had a mens clothing store in downtown Portland, Oregon from 1938-1978 was friends with Ed Hamilton the furrier. Any time I see this label I think of the commemorative photo I have of Ed and his wife Betty eating dinner at Amato's Supper Club with my grandparents on their anniversary.

One size fits all! Meaghan's measurements are 33-25-38 and she stands 5'8" tall. Judge how it will appear on you by comparison and with the assistance of the following measurements.

-Length: 68"
-Width of pelts: 3"- 5"
-Width at back of neck: 7"

Very Good to Excellent condition rating a 9 out of 10. There are just a couple of loose threads here and there. The pelts are in excellent condition. Soft, supple and rich.

I've been buying and selling vintage furs in Portland, Oregon (of all places) for over a decade and guarantee all my furs are what I represent them to be. Thanks to my 1926 Fur Book of Knowledge and the experience of touching thousands of furs over the years.
