A whimsical frog house toad abode that has a big dragonfly amongst the vines and flowers of the garden. The leaves and vines are from the Hawaiian Bell flower and the blossoms are from the Firespike flower that are growing in my spring garden. Toad abode frog houses are both functional and decorative. They will add color, whimsy and visual texture to your garden in addition to providing a home to frogs and toads. Inspired by nature and perfect for the garden!

The U.S. Department of Agriculture estimates that a single adult toad can eat 10,000 insect pests over the course of an average summer. You can welcome them to your yard not with a kiss, but with a castle: a so-called toad abode. Toads are most active at night, so during the day they need a fairly dark, cool place to hide from the sun and predators. Encourage these garden friendly creatures to have a nice long stay in your garden by providing these adorable toad houses. Place many toad houses in the moist shady areas of your garden.

Approximately 8" wide X 3 1/4" to 3 1/2" tall and glazed in a goldenrod yellow with brown accents. *Please note the last photo to see the underside of toad abode that has a small area with no glaze and a small split in the clay...this has no impact on the functionality or beauty of the piece.

This frog house would look lovely in a peaceful garden setting.

Please bring me inside during freezing temperatures.
