Made from a 1950's pattern for a house dress, this brown linen piece will do double duty as a fabulous gardening smock. The mud-brown linen is just the color to be practical in the garden, and cool enough to make gardening a pleasure on hot summer days. The enormous pockets are perfect for stuffing harvested veggies. The smock has cap sleeves and front and back darts for a nicely feminine fitting. The dress wraps, with one tie slipping elegantly through a finished hole in the bodice side seam, and ties in a cascading drape in the back. The botanical print pockets are double-stitched for extra strength. This would make the perfect house dress for inspiring you to get busy with that spring cleaning too! Smock will fit size 4-6. (Shown here on a model, size 6.)

Please note: I have sewn a limited number of gardening smocks, and what is in stock is all that I will have available for the spring 2012 season.

Laundering instructions: machine wash/gentle cycle; line dry; iron on a hot steam setting.
