These 10 pieces of flawless sea glass in sea foam green have been centre drilled with a 1.5mm hole and are ready for use in your projects.

An indication of size is given by the 5p coin (same size as a dime) shown in the photo. The coin is not included in the sale and is for illustrative purposes only. They range in size from 14mm to 20mm and are a mix of shapes, but all very pretty.

This genuine sea glass has been collected from beaches in Cornwall. It is, except for a wash in hot water, as found on the beaches. It is not altered in any way and has been collected by my husband and I so I can vouch for its authenticity. This is the sea glass you will receive - I do not use stock photos.

I have been collecting sea glass from beaches discovered on my travels for a number of years. I am lucky to have lived in several beautiful coastal areas over the past few years and enjoyed both a great hobby, beautiful scenery and lovely walks. I love to walk along a deserted beach just after the tide goes out, searching for these rare treasures, with the sun on my back, the cry of the gulls and the song of the sea for company.

As we recycle more and more, sea glass is getting more and more rare. Once discarded bottles are no longer washed out to sea, broken and shaped by the power of the wind and waves, to then be thrown up on the shore. Often the glass can be many years old and a distant memory of a time long gone before plastic bottles and paper cartons. Colours are often from items long out of fashion or common use. Whilst white and green are relatively common, other colours such as blue, red, amber, lilac are much rarer and often not easily found around Britain's shores.

Known as sea glass, beach glass, mermaids tears, sea foam, Neptune's jewels, each piece of sea glass is a little piece of history to be treasured; most of jewellery quality will be at least 50 years old.

All sea glass purchases are sent with a little about the history and types of sea glass and carefully wrapped in a postal box to protect them from the ravages of the postal system. . Mandrel not included, it is there to illustrate where the holes are drilled.
