What a beautiful set of bottles. These would be perfect on a shelf or bookcase or displayed on a lovely vintage tray on an end table or mantel.

I love finding old vintage bottles at the flea market. Some are in better conditions than others, but still they all have an amazing beauty under the dirt and grime. The bottles compliment each other so well.

The tallest bottle with the sugar starfish is a vintage Milk of Magnesia bottle. It has a wonderful 10-sided edge. It's a beautiful bright blue and amazingly clear. There are no markings on this bottle other than an M on the bottle. The bottle is topped with a beautiful and big sugar starfish which was finished with silver leaf paint. The neck of the bottle was edged with natural jute.

The next tallest bottle with the beautiful abalone shell is a vintage Bromo-Selzter bottle. It's marked on both sides with the words BROMO-SELTZER. Bromo seltzer was an antacid used to relieve pain occurring together with heartburn, upset stomach, or acid indigestion. Here's more interesting reading about the company: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bromo-Seltzer This bottle is topped with a beautiful abalone shell and edged with silver leaf paint. I finished off the bottle by trimming it with natural jute.

The smallest bottle has a fabulous shape and size to it. I'm not certain but I believe it probably held ink at one time. There are no markings on this bottle. I've added a beautiful piece of finger coral and a small bouquet of red fire coral in the center.

These bottles all compliment each other and make a beautiful display for your coastal home or beach house.
