A fabulous pair of large resin wall plaques in the French Provincial style, ornately decorated and highly dimensional, showing courting couples in a wonderful palette of gold and cream. These were made by the Universal Statuary Corp in Chicago, and are copyrighted 1957.

Each plaque is comprised of two pieces: the figure art and the frame. The figure piece is held in the frame by metal tabs on the back side so there is a bit of movement, but they are held well in the frames. Each piece is marked on the side of its frame with "Universal Statuary Corp. (C) GP-13162 Chicago, ILL. 1957 #509".

In great condition with a few tiny nicks in the raised areas. They might like a bit of a cleaning; then again maybe not. I'll leave that to you.

Measurements: 15.75" x 13.25" x 1.5"
