Presenting: The Accurate Postal Scale
Made by: Accurate Parts Manufacturing Company, Cleveland, Ohio

Wonderful vintage Triner scale in fantastic condition
It is entirely made of metal in a deep moss green with a cheerful yellow face! .
It is tiny, only 4" tall and 2 1/2" wide. Made by by Accurate Parts Manufacturing Co., Cleveland, Ohio. Measures up to 12 ounces and is accurate.

It would make a wonderful display item, especially when paired up with a vintage typewriter, a cranky old stapler, and an in & out box! AND!! Bonus!!!! It Works!

(Hey, what's a Triner??)

Thanks for asking, Billy. I've had a hard time finding a definitive answer to that question. As close as I can tell, (this is my best guess) it is a scale patented by the Triner Scale Co. These scales have a platform in which the object to be weighed is set upon. An example of one is when your luggage is weighed at an Airport, it is set on a platform scale, often installed between the counters where the attendant records the weight. That is a type of Triner Scale.

The Triner Scale Co. was established in 1897 and became one of the very first scale companies in the United States. Today they provide weighing systems to FedEx, UPS, Northwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines, & the United States Postal Service, just to name a few.
