When my kids were little, we used to have an Easter egg hunt every year. We filled plastic eggs with little toys or treats, and hid them all around (usually inside, since you can never count on good weather for Easter here).

Now they are teenagers and I am left with about a million plastic eggs. What to do?

So I thought it would be fun to make them more grown up and crochet lace over them. What a great decoration for Easter!

Each egg is one-of-a-kind, as I didn't use a pattern, but made them up as I went along.

These 2 eggs measure 3.5 inches long by 2.5 inches diameter and 2.5 X 2.

Warning: Kitties love to chase these! This is my kitty Chancho modeling with the egg.
