This black, brown, blue, and cream woodblock print features trees in silhouette against the dark blue sky at dusk. This landscape is based on a view from the highway. The artwork is printed from two cherry blocks. The blue sky was inked onto the flat, uncarved surface of a block so that it fades from dark to lighter blue. For the tree block, I sketched and carved by hand, then inked with a "rainbow roll" that fades from black at the top to dark brown at the bottom. Both blocks were printed on an etching press.

The artwork is behind clear acrylic (like plexiglass) for safe and light shipping. The first three photographs show the work for sale. The other photograph shows one of the printing blocks to illustrate the process. I sketched, carved, and inked the blocks by hand, and printed with an etching press. The artwork is signed and numbered from an edition of 45.
