Just waiting to have a cherry pie plopped right on top, this vintage hand-finished table cloth is a juicy slice of American history! The table cloth looks to be made from a relief aid grain sack from the 1970's. 1972 to be exact.

The text is awesome. It has this message in 9 different languages including arabic:

"Donated by the People of the United States of America
not to be sold or exchanged
weight net 50 pounds
contract of peace 1972
use no hooks
all purpose flour
enriched bleached fortified with calcium and vitamin a"

Like I said, COOL!

The table cloth measures 40" x 40" and is in gently used and usable vintage condition. It's soft and lovely so it'd also work as a framed piece as well, or you could re stitich it and stuff it to make a long throw pillow! There are no holes or stains to speak of, so I don't know if this even made it to the kitchen table! What a shame. Be sure to remedy that, won't you?
