This skein of Merino yarn reminds me of a waterfall. All of the different shades of blue really gives you the feel of water cascading over rocks into a pool. The colors in this soft yarn include aqua, blue, light blue and grey.

Here is a listing for a 2-ply skein of handpainted, handspun Merino wool yarn. I hand paint all of my fiber using Eco Friendly dyes and I set the color with steam and Citric Acid. I carefully mix all of my colors to create the colorways you see. All of the fiber is spun by me on my Ashford Elizabeth spinning wheel.

Merino wool derives from Spain. The Spanish crossed their ewes with rams from Africa in the twelfth and thirteenth century. This cross created an amazing fine-wool sheep that was not exported out of Spain until the 1700's. In the early 1800's Merinos were exported to North America. Today Merino wool is the best known wool on the market. It is known for its soft feel and can be worn next to the skin.

If you would like this yarn in a center pull ball let me know at the time of purchase and I will be happy to wind it for you.

All of the yarn from Little Libellule is created in a SMOKE-FREE, but pet friendly home.
