"Better Homes and Gardens Decorating Book", Copyright 1975, second printing 1976. This is such a fun modern decorating book, rich in vibrant 70's colors and bold fabrics and wallpapers. There is also a lot of classic mid-century modern furniture incorporated into the rooms. I spied Eames, Saarinen, Bertoia, just to name a few. These rooms are not at all like the dark fake wood paneled basements and ugly shag carpet that I used to think of as 1970's style. Until a few years ago, I never realized there was so much cool design in the 70's!

Lots of useful info here, including window fashions for every room, 100 dollar-saving decorating ideas to achieve that individual look, how to select and arrange furniture, using color confidently, lighting, accessorizing, apartment planning, architectural details, floors, and more.

This book is in very good condition. There is only the most minor cosmetic wear on the cover/spine. The original owner's return address label is pasted to the inside front cover (very small), but otherwise the book's interior is clean. 5-ring binder with 400 pages.

A word about shipping: U.S. shipping rate included in this listing is via media mail, slow but economical. If you need this book in a hurry, I can ship via Priority mail at an additional cost. Please convo me for details.
