The frame can be balanced upright on a table top or hung from the nifty decorative loop at the top.

So how did I come to the conclusion that this was made in the 30's? When an lod item has a pant number on it, you can double the first two digits to get a rough estimate of the item's age. The first two on this frame are 17, double that to 34 which means it was probably made in the mid 1930's. I LOVE patent numbers!

Measures 3 3/8" x 4 3/8" around and is made to hold a 3" x 4" picture. Glass has no chips or cracks. Velvet easel back is intact and the fold -out frame support is in perfect working order. Item is in used and very usable vintage condition. Minh said it reminded him of a flask

This was a real treat to find!
