Tiffin Glass Art Deco Style Vase - U S Glass Company - No 16265

This beautiful satin glass vase was made by Tiffin Glass, also known as U. S. Glass Company. This company originated in Tiffin, Ohio and created all kinds of glassware, from tableware to soda fountain glasses to lamps.

From what I’ve been able to learn, the pattern number for this particular vase is #16265. It features a deco style nude on each side. The most interesting thing about it, is that U. S. Glass also used this vase to create a table lamp. They added a top and a base (in black) and wired it through the hole in the base to create a beautiful soft light that was also a work of art!

One of the histories I read said that the number #16265 only applies to the lamp, which was shown in their catalogs, and that the vase never did receive its own number. Also, once the company went out of business, a company named Sarsaparilla took the original mold, added their name to the base and also added 4 feet. Our vase, however, is one of the originals.

Condition: No chips or other damage. There are a few small manufacturing flaws including a few bubbles in the glass.
