This lovely set of vintage figurines feature a boy and girl dressed in their finest clothing. The girl has a multi-ruffled dress and appears to be doing a curtsey. The boy is carrying a basket of fruit and there is a wicker basket with flowers inside behind his feet. They have scrolls around the bases.

This set is in good condition with some flaws and the price is reflective of this. The boy figurine has a flake of paint off his trousers and there are some small flakes of missing paint on the base. The girl figurine has some flakes on the underside of her dress, a chip under her chin, a few hairline cracks on the underside of her dress and a hairline around her neck. Still, with these flaws they are both so incredibly charming!

These are made out of chalkware I believe with a really hard finish. They are marked on the bottom with a crown insignia, but I cannot make it out. On the bottom of the boy figurine it is marked "Saturday's child must work for a living" and on the bottom of the girl figurine it is marked "Tuesday's child is full of grace". The boy stands 7 3/4" tall and 3.5" across and the girl is 7" tall and 4.5" across.

These are charming!
