THIS ITEM IS RESERVED FOR LEE. This is a Bedouin antique Quill Pen Case with attached Ink Well from Saudi Arabia. Made of solid brass. Belived to be made in the late 1800's or early 1900's.

Measures 8 1/2 inches long, is 1 inch high and 1 3/4 inches deep at the ink well.

Wonderfully intricate Arabic design make this a very unique and highly collectible piece. Arabic lettering may be the name of the owner, photo #2.

According to the Saudi merchant it was used to carry quill pens and to mix ink in for use while traveling and is a companion piece to the Bedouin Dry Powder Dry Ink Bottle also listed in my shop, photo #5.

Solid Brass and has not been cleaned. In "as found" condition.

Originally from Jedda, Saudi Arabia and acquired there at the Bedouin market in 1990.

You won't find this item at the local Antique Mall, it is one of a kind.
