This large 20 x20 inch giclee print is based on a series formed out of childhood memories.

TastyKake, Little Debbie, Drakes, to name a few, are brand names that have survived the generations. Even when we all know they are not really "good for us", we still have some kind of strange love affair with them. All that aside they made great objects to paint.

Image these cakes larger than life...this creates a playful, whimsical effect.

I have always appreciated the work of Wayne Thiebaud and studied his work while I worked on this series. This piece would make a wonderful conversational piece in any room of the house.

Each print is hand signed by the artist.

Printed on museum-quality acid free watercolor paper with archival light-fast inks for superior color accuracy. Our prints are on high-quality archival paper.

We work closely with a professional father and son company in our community who specialize in Giclee printing. It is important that we are able to proof the work, so our prints are as beautiful as the original.

These works will stand the test of time and can be passed down to your children and grandchildren if they are framed properly with archival matting. Your local framer can help you with good framing decisions.

In protective shipping tube. No shipping cost for Addition prints.

The Quality : Recent tests show that giclee-quality inkjet prints can have a light- fast life expectancy of 100 to 200 years. When prints are produced on good quality paper, the print should possess archival standards of permanence comparable or better than other collectible artwork. The visual quality of the print is extremely high and the color saturation and definition stunning.

We have been framing our art for many years and I have worked in a frame shop for a number of years as well. I recommended framing simply with one white/off white archivel ACID-FREE mat.

It is my opinion that a 3” inch mat around the artwork really sets it off so nicely. Giving good visual space between the artwork and the frame. Really large works should have a 4” inch mat.

Of course your frame is a personal choice, but I find that sometimes simplicity is the best solution.
