The graph was super helpful when creating the camouflage pattern.. I do wish there was a little more instruction on how they recommend carrying yarn or switching colours, but overall I’m happy I bought the pattern. I wouldn’t suggest this for someone beginner though, unless you’re prepared to buy the extra instructional program offered.

I have never crocheted before this project. Like never even held a hook in my hand. I watched a few videos on YouTube to learn the basic stitches and how to read a pattern, and then went to town on the patterns! I have only done the Holy family right now but I can’t wait to do the rest of the figures! Bethany is very sweet and has some great tutorials on her YouTube channel. I found that sometimes the stitches were done too fast for me to follow so I had to slow down the speed of the video to see exactly what she was doing and it worked well. I ended up using Wool of Andes worsted weight yarn from WeCrochet in most of the same recommended colors (I chose oyster Heather for Mary’s cloak, camel Heather for their heads, and mink Heather for the bottom of Joseph and the manger) and doubled the the yarn to make the figures larger.
