This is an amazing handmade white cotton christening cloak from the mid to late 1800s. The exterior of the cloak is made of a very soft cotton and the lining is made of a soft flannel-like fabric. The cloak is fastened in the front with two beautiful mother of pearl buttons. The large round caplet style collar has beautiful pintucking and ric rack detail work and the bodice is a very simple, and elegant design. This cloak is size 3-6 months however, please see measurements below for correct fit.

≈Measurements (in inches with the garment lying on a flat surface)≈
Shoulders: 8
Chest: 23
Sleeves: 8.5
Length: 34

≈Additional Information≈
This cloak was lovingly stitched by hand and is in very condition overall. However on the back of the caplet style collar there are 7 pinhole size wear marks which were too small to photograph. Considering the age of this heirloom item, it looks amazing and would be a wonderful item for display or for a child to wear for a christening or baptism.
