Vintage Tonala Mexican Pottery Vase.

Due to the wonderful clay soil in the area surrounding the small town of Tonala, pottery has been a traditional occupation for centuries. This particular vase was handcrafted in the 1960's. This vase is made on a potter's wheel, handpainted, glazed and then fired in a kiln.

This beautiful vase is signed Tonala Mexico and the artists' initials are above. Some vases online are listed signed Tonala but only say Mexico, this is a true original Tonala piece.
Some of the hand painted features include birds, flowers and leaves. It appears very Ken Edwardesque.
Vase is 9 3/4 inches tall and does have some crazing on the glaze.
This vase would be a fantastic addition to anyones vase collection, china cabinet, showcase for flowers or just by itself.
Bird in background not included.
