I’m excited to share with you my innovative polymer clay crackle technique that I discovered while experimenting back in 2012.
THIS crackle IS DIFFERENT! How? Because no dried paints or compounds will be sitting on top of your clay. You'll be left with clay that looks crackled. While you can achieve a nice crackle by partially curing your polymer clay, this crackle does NOT involve partial curing. It also doesn't involve Kroma our other 2 part compounds.
If I have your curiosity...try it! It's a bit messy, but I promise you'll be pleased with the results.

I've included a few variations with surprisingly easy to access materials. This technique will leave your clay subtle and is usable for round, tubular, and shaped objects.

Also check out my Ammolite Tutorial that combines some of this with some other techniques I use and is a variation and a project. I have even more variations, but would turn into a book if I wrote it all, but should have a part 3 soon.

If you use this technique in work that you sell, please spread the word by giving me credit or referring people to this tutorial. Please do not teach this technique as I'm highly dependent on earning income on my intellectual ideas. Thanks for understanding.

I have a couple of other crackle techniques in my shop as well if you are into various types of crackles.
