Oracle cards, also known as tarot, angel cards, or “pulling a card” refers to spiritual wisdom in the form of illustrated cards. A card reader uses them as a point of focus to channel messages based on what is vibrationally matching to you at the time of the reading. They are different than affirmation cards and tarot cards in that they a) provide more depth than just simple affirmation cards and b) they do not have to follow as strict a structure as tarot cards do.

One style is not better than the other; they are just different languages of divination. It is true that tarot can be a bit more intense in the delivery of its messages than angel or oracle cards. I was originally trained in angel / oracle cards, and over time I have integrated traditional tarot too (although I rarely use the traditional deck). Tarot readers can be angel card readers and angel card readers can equally work with tarot. It is up to a given healer what their preferred tools are that they work with.

Oracle cards can also help us feel guided, protected, and connected to angels and our guides. Most people feel more in alignment with source, more calm, centered, and at peace after readings. They often feel empowered, that their vibration has been raised and they understand new things to do or have in their journey ahead. Its all about empowerment!

Astrology is what I would call a “sacred science”. It is an entire mathematical and spatial language! Being someone with a science degree myself, I can attest that it requires precise calculations and mathematics as you would find in any science. Butttt it also has a paradoxical intuitive quality to it where some things can only be explained by faith, intuition and belief in a higher power and divine orchestration. For me, the term "sacred science" is the best fit for this. There is always more to learn, always new things being discovered or explored and yet it is also so ancient and so sacred at the same time.

Astronomy is the scientific study of the planets, asteroids and outer space from an observational and measurement based practice. It includes everything from technologies to get to outer space to how many moons Jupiter has to the average temperature on Mars to how fast a light year really is. Astrology is the sacred science that studies the effect of these space influences on us at a SOUL level. It looks at the connection of different archetypal energies and how they interact on the soul level, as relates to the oneness of the universe, past lives, karmic energies, day to day workings of the sun and moon etc.

I practice Western Astrology with a little bit of knowledge from other schools of thought thrown into the mix. There are many different types of astrology and each has their wonders! Although I studied Vedic first and incorporate some wisdom from that at times, Western is what I grew to love and that is the one I apply in the healing work that I do. I have recently evolved to add in some Hellenistic aspects too.

Looking at your natal chart is equivalent to your soul map. It is a tried and true way to plug into the wisdom your soul choose to incarnate under. It can also explain A LOT about current life cycles in which affect mood, energy levels, physical health of the body, and mental states can all become affected. After an astrology session, most clients report feeling "lighter", more enthusiastic about life, empowered to take on action steps, and overall feeling a sense of relief that they have a) a new perspective on things to integrate, b) a new way of looking at themselves, and c) self-healing and forgiveness for anything about themselves or their situation they were burdened by before.

You can also use astrology to determine compatibility between you and another in romance, business, or friendship. You can use astrology to pick a suitable launch date for a business, or a new website, or buying a house or starting a marriage- the opportunities are endless! I am always checking astrological transits and witnessing them in accordance with my own chart on a daily basis. Be prepared to have your mind blown! Much of what you may have been taught about astrology before (i.e. horoscopes in magazines) is only the tip of the iceberg. Most people’s minds are blown when they see exactly what a natal chart looks like and how complex the inner workings of an astrology reading can be. Be prepared to be in awe of the depth and level of personal power that can be cultivated from extracting this knowledge (and perhaps be willing to take some follow up action steps upon it too!). It is a powerful language, and one that needs a good translator, in the same way that French would need a French --> English translator etc.
